Lake Lavon Shudo

I thought I would throw some love out there for my home lake crew! We've been doing a video contest for years now where several riders from each of our local lakes ride together as a team and film for a few weeks. When everybody is done there is a big party where we show all the videos and then vote on best video, best team, most improved, best crash, etc. The heart behind it was to get people to ride with folks outside of their normal crew and to push each other to try and learn some new tricks.

Anyway, we missed adding some new trick video of a few of the riders to this edit but we did get some decent footage over the course of a month. It's long but make sure to watch the whole thing as the two kids at the end are sick riders! Their dad did the edit so big props to him for taking the time to do this for us!

Awesome video man I like the progression from guys learning backrolls and tantrums to that heel 7. I met a guy that rode lavon all the time I can't remember his name but he was doing some coaching at a ski school not to far from there. He was sponsored by hyperlite and I think he said he was a firefighter or emt but I can't remember. Would that have been one of those guys by chance?

Did you meet Joseph (JoJo) Lemberg? He rides for Hyperlite and usually rides at Lavon coaching lessons out there.

And btw nice video Jake. I love the shots behind that 2001. It's such a clean 2001 and its awesome to see someone throw down behind an older boat like that.

Yeah, I know JoJo but we (me) usually don't ride with him. I know his crew has some good riders though. There are several other guys that can throw down at our lake that aren't involved with the site (www.dallaswakeboarding.com) that organizes this friendly competition.

I am sad that I did not get to really put together a video this year. Thanks for the special appearance Terry & the Lavon guys. Got my switch toe 3 in there! ;)

D'oh! I thought it was closer to Dallas. I'm downtown and just mapped it and its about an hour from my house. If I ever make it out that way I'll hit you guys up! I usually ride on Ray Hubbard behind my buddy's boat or on Lake Austin/Travis when we go see my girls parents...
