www.wakeboardingmag.com/article/Features/Video-Darin-Shapiro-1000063658 Dont think this has been posted, I think only the 12 second clip of his front to blind was posted. This is the whole video that my Homie Craig Kotileneck shot in Orland. Man I am so stoked to see this video! Shapiro has to be the best wakeboarder ever and he's still got it. Obviously the Front to Blind is money, but check out the Backside 180 at around 1:13, upon fist glance your like that was sloppy, but just watch the slow-mo they do of the trick and it will blow you away. I wont give away what he does but damn its sick. Enjoy-

Andy, I posted it in this thread. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/609226.html?1218031793 But nothing wrong with getting it out there again. Shapiro is one of my all time favorite riders. I'm just bummed that he isn't with O'Brien any more. But it is good to see him charging it again. How's married life?

Seems like Darin influences Shaun Murray's Riding, though no offense to him, he doesn't go quite as big as Sharpiro. Isn't he pretty much the only one that does front2blinds? and what are the over the rope spins called? I want to say flatline spins.

Jason- Just like Normal Except I get ride twice as much! Umali, Thats what I thought, but then I tried it. Turns out its a great way to get totally hung up and land on the rope followed by a major heelside edge slam!!! I suggest everyone try it!

Andy, When you say "ride twice as much", are you talking about wakeboarding? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Wow, he edges so hard on everything. Surprised to see him riding a Lyman 135, I know he is a shorter guy but most pros I see are riding longer boards?

"I know he is a shorter guy but most pros I see are riding longer boards?" We're talking short. No one rides like Shapiro. He stomps those blind landings in the flats like BOOM.....wut..son??? Murray goes just as big. Just different tricks. Murrays spins and raley based tricks are huge too.

Looks like a frantrum to blind to me. With a tailfish grab. Pretty huge and sick though. One of the first vids I ever got showed Shapiro ripping behind a helicopter...and falling on a trick, going totally underwater, and coming out backwards...dude is gnarly.

J-rod said it best no body, I mean No body rides like Shaprio. No body does fronts to Blind, No Body does orbitals. Every trick is full edge all the way on the gas. Man I miss seeing him in every mag and every video. I you have never seen "Overdue" the O'brien team vide from a few years back, go get your hands on it! His section is amazing. Jason- To answer you Q - BOTH! Bahahahahahahahah

That's not an orbital (the one they show in slow motion). Not sure what he calls that particular ski line move but it's not the orbital. In the orbital, he holds the rope with the other hand when he's going over the rope and rotates the other way.

The flatline is awesome, the grab he throws in makes it look even better. The guy goes big, I'm glad to get to see some update footage of him killin it.

I see what you are talking about Trevor. Murray has been around for quite awhile and more so than many riders, incorporates traditional raleys (not glides) and hard charging edging. Yeah they have completely different styles, but they both frequently charge the wake with reckless abandon.

murray? charge the wake w/ reckless abandon? are we talkin' about the same shaun murray? murray has the most relax-cut of any pros out there. you'd think he was just cruisin' into the wake, but then...BOOM! he pops like no other!

Looks like a 23 LSV to me based on the tower and freeboard, but the angle makes it tough to tell.

Yeah he has ridden for LF for a few years. Last year i was at adrenalina and he was in my flow rider group. It was one of the coolest days ever because Darin has always been one of my favorite riders and by the luck of the draw, I was flowriding with him!! I've ridden with most of the pros but Darin is like an enigma, such an awesome day
