Was wondering how tight that some of you riders tie your bindings. I leave mine pretty loose on the top I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing cause I am also afraid of one foot coming out and hurting an ankle. Should the binding come off your foot easily on a fall. Also not sure if this is a factor but I am also not using any binding slime or anything like that? any comments are appreciated.

i dont use binding slime either and i ride with mine pretty tight and it is a rare occasion that my feet come out and normally both of them come out, i dont think you need to be tooo concerned wit hurting an ankle. infact it may be easier to hurt one with your binding loose

yea that is true I know its probably a matter of personal preference but I think that I am going to start to ride with them a little tighter and see how that works out for me.

i ride my bindings as tight i can get em. i even get them 1 size smaller so they are even tighter and dont have to crank so much on the laces/velcro. i can typically ride for about 20 minutes before my feet start hurting and i cant ride anymore. i dont ever come out and if i do i figure that means i fell hard enough and shouldnt get back in

My front left foot gets cramped up all the time. I tried my bindings tight and loose and its not as bad when they are loose. I have no idea what could be causing it.

I ride mine as loose as they go, maybe just take the slack out of the laces, but I like em like that, too tight and my feet fall asleep. I also wear my shoes real loose, so I guess it's just what I'm used to. Most falls if I catch an edge I'm putting the board back on.

Tight as I can get them. I even wear size small (fits 5-7) but my foot is 8.5.

Dan, try adjusting the angle of your front binding. My front foot used to get cramped up a bit too, I just ducked it out a bit more and it fixed the problem.

I wear a 9 but use a 8.5 binding which are easier to get in dry, but I tighten em enough to the point they are just snug, and I took a couple good falls this weekend and my feet stayed right in with no cramping except for the first day.

Same here. I ride a size smaller, then pull them up as tight as i can get them. The first 3 or 4 sessions with the new bindings suck...after that its all good.

As tight as I can get them. I have had a few sprained ankle's because one foot came out and the board twisted, and so did my ankle.

It depends on how you ride. I don't know anyone throwing inverts that ride with loose binding. IMO they should be tight or you'll get injured worse. My wife just broke her foot last weekend when one of her bindings came off, and last season I tore my ACL when the same happened. When I'm able to ride again I will be surgically attaching the bindings to my legs all the way up to my calves...

I used to ride with my zeuses tight enough to hang on to even a straight dive from 8 feet up. Now that im getting teh snot knocked out of me, I think I might leave them a little bit looser. I know the dangers after a type 2 torn ligament thats still bothering me 2 years later. Still I think Id rather be tossed out on a failed raley attempt.

if you cant touch yer ass to the tail of the board while grabbing stalefish, your bindings are too tight and/or high. ok, maybe i have exagerated, i leave my top laces kinda loose and tighten the lower laces as much as possible, and i have yet to come out of my Gator Teams this year.
