Jeff Weatherall has BS7's down wake to wake and has been trying 9's off the dub. Pretty sure he is taking the winter off to snow board tho. Mitch blew his knee last weekend.

I talked to Weatherall last weekend. He was in Tahoe and was thinking about moving there for the winter to ride. He said he was going back to O-town to finish up a little before then.

I've only heard of Shane landing the TS BS 7 so far. But if I had to pick someone to land a HS BS 9, I would put money on Brian Hutton or Tino. Then again, you can't ever forget about the spin master Colin Wright.

Arron Rathy stomps them clean, but so does Henshaw, but ive only heard of Corey Bradley attempting the BS9. It will be double up for sure, watching guys do them wake 2 wake can be pretty scary when they fall. Saw Rathy fall on one in comp and then get up and nail it right away. I actually noticed that this year at wakestock in Toronto that this was the first time i had seen BS 7s in runs, and not just one guy i believe there was 3 or 4. Usually you just see Henshaw do it off the double up. So it was nice to see some progression in contest tricks.

Im guna have to say Brian Hutton too. That guy is freaking nuts! He can spin like no other and there all super smoothe. And I agree with Caleb, they were both sick, Harfs might have look sicker but Shanes is prob more tech. Its a hard call

Harf's back seven is def more tech. Think about how its corked and he passes the handle right at the start and then basically pulls his body back around way off axis. And grabbed with handle passes. Looks bad ass too. And I am pretty sure know one else has been able to spin like that, except Adam Errington who has the corked back 3 down (Message edited by lfboardboomer on November 25, 2007)

if remember correctly danny never landed a toe backside 7 its a toe backside 5 with a melon or method grab. as far as i know shane is the only person ever to land the toe backside 7 and he has done it twice. as far as backside 9s go i think henshaw will be the first to land it his backside 7s are just crazy smooth.

A BS9 has the same amount of handle passes as a toe1080, to even think of trying that many handle passes is mind boggoling. Other then Corey Bradly, has any one else tried the BS9?

Check the Park's Double up contest on wakeboardingmag.com. Soven and Henshaw were going for BS9s. Jeremy, Harf did land a Ts BS 7. I haven't seen video, but it was posted on alliancewake.com that he landed it.

lots of people are trying heelside bs 9's but people on this site have to be more specific. when you say blind 7, what does that even mean! i heard about harf's bs nosegrab 7 but ive never seen anything to prove it(not saying it wasnt done, ive just never seen it)

a bs 9 is as many handle passes as a 10 if some one lands a bs 9 this could turn into a debate on which is harder!

i would go with the backside 9. i can do a ts/fs 3 but i havent done a hs/bs 180 yet. so if i was a pro and i could spin that much. the backside 9 would be harder

Landing blind david is when they dont complete a handle pass, and landed with there arm wrapped behind them. Easiest example is a HS BS 180, dont do a handle pass and you will land like the pic at the top of this post, just cory bradly happened to throw a 720 before he did the extra backside 180 and he landed blind, arm wrapped around his back.

Blind is an unfortunate relic of skiboarding, people calling a backside spin a "blind" or "blindside" spin. It still lingers today and causes confusion when people use the term to describe two totally different concepts. For example, some people also call landing "blind" as Jason says with the rope behind their back, even though that sort of landing is possible on backside (e.g., hs bs 180) or frontside (e.g., ts fs 360 or 720 or even hs fs 360 with a weird wrap) spins. I'm sure the b/s 900 will go down if people start trying to race to get there like the 1080, but from my experience getting wrecked going from a b/s 3 to b/s 5, that's a fairly big jump to make from a h/s b/s 7 to b/s 9...likely much bigger than a heel/toe f/s 7 to f/s 9.

That's insane! Did he land it? How'd he go from the fourth picture to the end to the third from the end so fast? That's almost a full spin there. Awesome.
