Dennis and Mike Walker turned me on to this trick. On the composite boards we are building, I am just reusing the one rear traction pad. Seems that you cold use it to repair or reinstall traction on a board also.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the glue underneath the traction that you want to remove. I didn't get any pictures because it takes two hands. :-) Anyway...as you heat the glue under the traction it becomes pliable and with some tension, will lift off the board.

Next, after it is all off, turn it upside down and spray liberally with some 3M spray adhesive. I got this at Home Depot.

Allow the adhesive to become tacky - the can states 1-3 minutes. In cold weather I've found that passing the heat gun over it, kicks it quicker.

Then merely align on the board and apply even pressure.

Good as new (almost :-) ).
