I was looking at the CWB board this year and noticed a significant price increase from a normal absolute to a platinum absolute. I was wondering how the platinum series wakeboards are different from other CWB boards and is it worth the extra money to go platinum?
It's the most technically advanced board construction on the market. They have two hollow carbon fiber rods running down the sides. It makes the boards a pound lighter plus they are more responsive and snappier at the wake.
if your interested, I got a '07 135 Platinum Absolute for sale, it's only been used once. I needed a bigger board, so I'm selling it. Make me an offer if interested.
The Plat also has less flex, so it is a little faster but it doesnt land as soft as the non-plat. BTW, the bottom of the Absolute has not changed since 05, so you might find a deal out there...
