I am looking at getting a new rope and handle soon. What is your favorite? Has anyone tried the new ronix north with the leatherish grip or any of the other ronix handles? Also what is everybodys thoughts on coated ropes? I currently like the helium handles the best but I am not so impressed with their lines.

What kind of idiot manufacturer makes a rope and handle all black? Are they trying to make it blend into the water so you can't see it? It gets really nice and warm too! Here in AZ when it's it gets to hot to walk on white boat vinyl a nice toasty black handle will come in handy, it will look great with my oven mitts.... Why can't they make these things in bright orange? The Era handle btw is great! (Message edited by bocephus on June 15, 2007)

You dont have to buy the all black, they offer all white and grey as well in the LG Handel's and the lines come in black, red, green, white, gold, Blue, grey. They just like to give the consumer a lot of choices and you would be surprised how many buy the all black.

I like my Straightline ARi, really solid in the hand, almost like a carbon. But if my shop carried Proline I probably would have bought an LG...

I went with the LG (white) and am really happy with it. When it gets wet, it's really grippy.

I'm with bocephus on this one. I have THAT EXACT rope and handle. It is super nice but it gets hotter than hot. The other problem is black is REALLY hard to see. I am getting some white plastic electrical tape to put on the handle so I can see it floating out there. Granted the little yellow things close to the handle are nice but not enough IMO. Other than those 2 super picky things this rope and handle have been really nice. MUCH better than foam.

I just bought the Eclipse Carbon handle and love it.....I have never tried the Proline - but this handle is sweet. I also use the proline coated rope - red- our river is dark so it shows up well. The only problem I have with it is that the coating cracked in a couple of places and those parts of the rope don't float anymore. other than that- an awesome rope.

Thanks for all the input guys. I can't go against a majority like that. Do they make the lg in a 24"? That was a joke...kinda. Damn I wish I could spin better!
