A few tips (not that I'm an expert or anything):
1. How many speaker do you have on the tower...if you've got 4 speakers its alot easier with 2 people.
2. Try not to move the 2 poles going forward. (the ones going towards the front of the boat) I can get mine in my barn without taking down the 2 front poles. If you look close there is a really small nipple on the forward facing pole. The rear part of tower has to line up with this. If you don't move it to begin with you don't have to adjust it later.
3. If you've got 4 speakers the weight of them tends to want to tilt the rear tower down. If you push up on the pole with speakers it will line up nicely.
4. Don't tighten one side all the way down until you get the other side lined up
I'm a new inboard boater so for me the tower is a heck of a lot easier than backing up or putting it on the trailer, but like everything once you do it a few times it gets easier.
Hope this helps
