Additionally it does not do the same thing Supra's or anyone elses TAB does, the wedge pulls the rear of the boat down... I'd be interested to put a straight edge along the bottom of the hull like a supra to see if the wake plate provides stern lift or if it truly is flat off the back of the hull...

The wedge all the way down will help in planing maybe not much but it simply will. The wedge in neutral position will elevate the rear of the boat as it starts to plane because it will act like a hydrofoil that is angled up as the boat's bow rises. Same as your board when getting up.
The tabs do the same thing. As the boat starts to plane up and the bow rises the tabs are lifting the rear of the boat. The reason they do not go past neutral is so at speed you don't drive the nose of the boat into the water.
