They're pushing the 2013 models right now so you'll probably have to wait until about August

I wasn't crazy about it at first, mostly looks, but it has grown on me with function and looks, all it needs now is round knobs. I love how easy it goes down and holds it's self in any position and will come to rest right over the steering wheel.

yeah I've hated on the tower too, but when I saw one at the local boat show it actually looked pretty good. It looks a lot lot lot better than sanger's new two point tower, and alot better in person than it does in the pics I've seen here.
The problem I have with it, and two point towers generally, is how far forward they are if you have tower speakers. The result is that you blast out your cabin occupants.

I would hope for...
1) better looking 2 point tower -- hate the current box top.
2) center walkway option for rear deck.
3) much less noise/vibration.
4) bow ballast option.
I could also note that I am not a fan of their obtuse pickle forks.
I would much prefer one blunt nose option like the G23.

They will have a new Tomcat in the 22' range. I think they may be getting rid of the 21' tomcat.
Mike has a really good thing going right now with MB. I am not sure he needs to change a lot. Everything is give and take. He has a deeper V which makes a low speed clean wake hard but it also means a bigger/steeper wake with less weight and a better surf wake. The biggest downfall I see of his boats is the shallow interior, especially for how much freeboard the boats have. Again, this is a give and take as the floor is higher to allow more ballast. I am not sure he has to change it though as I think he is close to max capacity at his factory as is. He could do a walk through at the transom but I think that would just add to the cost of the boat. MB's sit in a good position as is. They have above average fit and finish, above average wakeboard and surf wake's and at a price only rivaled by Moomba, axis, supreme and sanger. Supreme and sanger are even more regional than than MB. Axis and Moomba don't really have anywhere near the plushness of MB.

I would like to see a new tower, integrated front ballast, rear deck walkway, and some kind of surf enhancement (surfgate/NSS etc..)
And bring back those flames baby!!!

No offense to anyone in this thread, but this is why all boats are so expensive. MB has a good thing going with their simple, no frills boat line. Yet people get wind of a redesign and pile on the "wants" list. Plenty bemoan the fact of towboat prices, yet every buying customer expects high levels of trim, fit and finish, and design that simply to figure into the "affordable" calculation.

Hopefully whatever they are planning doesn't change the price points of their boats. I think they have a good thing going as well but if the cost shoots higher I probably will look elsewhere. Here in the northwest there just isn't enough time to use an expensive summer toy and still make the big payment the other 9 months in the garage.

i love my MB. the only thing i wish was that it had a cigarette lighter plug in up in the bow, and one in the back area. not just the one by the driver.
and a center walk through would be nice to keep from walking all over the seats.

Costs are going up on everything and everywhere. Everything from candy bars to cars cost more to manufacture, transport, build etc. It sure feels crappy when everything but how much you're making a year keeps going up. Maybe its just me but 2% doesn't sound all that bad. The houseboat mooring rates on our lake just took a 25%-35% rate hike last month depending where you park..Talk about price increase.

They are making an F22. There will be subtle changes in the interior and they will add some freeboard to it to allow the interior to get deeper. I think the pickle fork that they have is part of MB's identity. When you see these boats coming you know what they are. I haven't heard of any changes to the tower. I think a guy know will be seeing his first F22 around the end of May or June as a prototype. Whether he post anything on it or not I'm not sure if he will be able too. I can tell you I will own a new MB F24 or F22 within the next couple years (mine current boat 2012 F21).
@Bill Sm- I put cigarette lighter in the front of mine and ran it to an open ACC switch. It is a 15min project if you have the extra wire to run it.

Really they arent going to have a 21' or less boat anymore. that is sad.. my lake and my neighbor lake have 21 and 20 foot boat limits. Not going to be able to buy a new wake boat under 21 pretty soon.

It would not surprise me, I am just guessing here but I see the sales per 10 ordered close to 5 F21 Tomcats, 2 23 B52's, 2 F24's, and one 21B52. It could even be closer to one out of 15. I personally think it should stay bc some peeps just don't like the fork look and it is a cool design that has a wider interior than the F21, I even had a run where I had 2 orders out of 5. Just looking at inventory out there, they are slim.

I have a feeling they might be preparing for a F20. Like Malibu with the MXZ 20/22/24, I think they might be going the same route. F20/22/24?

That would seem logical.
For a long time I have thought the perfect line of boats would be to have a 20', 21.5' and 23' v bow plus a a 20.5', 22' and 23.5-24' picklefork. Malibu already has something very similar to this and I also like how Malibu has the option for a "ski" hull in the v bow boats. I have never understood why companies(Especially Mastercraft) has so many different models with all different hull designs. Malibu basically designed/found a hull that drives well, produces good/big wakeboard wakes and produces nice and clean wakes and they keep this same basic hull design across all their models whether V bow or picklefork. It seems like that would really help keep the R/D cost down or at least allow them to use their R and D for other things(like coming up with the surfgate and wedge). If I was the Skier's Choice crew I would do this as well since it seems like they hit a home run with the SA hull design. Put that hull design on every boat. Just scale it down or up depending on the length you are shooting for.
As for MB I think it would be cool if they kept the deep V type hull design they have currently but offer the 21TWB with a more ski friendly hull.Everything from the waterline up should be able to stay the same.

We are one of the few dealers mainly selling 21 WB's as opposed to Tomcats. Couldn't tell you why. I think the change to the 22 will help. MB will have a 21, 22, 23, and 24 in the lineup evens=tomcat, odds-widebody

My dealer cant seem to get any info except " no changes for 2014". I sent a email MB asking when we might see info on the 2014's and was told " go through your local dealer, they will be the first to know". So at this point it seems like a waiting game.

That's a pretty poor answer from you dealer, where are they located? They should have some info, and if not they shouldnt just take a wild guess and be wrong. In my opinion they should say..."we haven't got the new model info just yet, but I will try to find out for you if you are interested." Or something to that extent.

I think my dealer is just telling me what he is being told by MB regarding the changes for 2014 on the 21' B52 TWB. The dealer knows I am ordering a 2014 this winter so its not like he is pushing for me to buy a 2013. I just want to be able to start designing the boat.

That has got to be rough just getting 2013 boats in today, yet customers are already thinking it's outdated. yikes.
I think that's why dealers and manufacturers like to keep that kind of stuff private until it's ready.

I'm with Steve, I can't buy a boat this year no matter what they came out with. I just can't swing it till.maybe winter. No offense to people selling the 13's, its just not what I'm gonna end up buying. I have no issues with a 2013 pictures, they are awesome boats but I just can't afford them at the moment. Ill open a 2013 picture thread for everyone to post their new boats there! Thanks

I've been on multiple B52s 2011 and newer and the only good things about em are:
- bad ass wake (if you've never weighted one right you haven't seen its tru potential)
- drives really easy (weighted too)
- awesome interior design
- looks bad ass
- you can buy two of these for the price of one... Well you know
- oh and did I mention the wake is killer
- and they look bad ass
... Other than that nothin good about em hahaha

Is it just me or does the "V" of the bow not go all the way to the front?
We don't have any MB's here in the Midwest so all I keep hearing about is how good they are for how little money. Be interested to see them. What is cheap? Cheaper than an Axis? Cheaper than a Tige R20 or Mommba 20V? We talking mid 30's?
