Very similar to this thread, but I'm looking $5K cheaper.

This will be my first boat and I'm looking for the best value for $45K out the door. I don't need anything right away, but if the price is right, I could pick it up now or wait until the February boat show. I'm in Las Vegas and the boat will be spending 90% of its time at Lake Mead. The Tige, Mastercraft, Moomba and Malibu dealers are all located conveniently nearby. The new models that I'm looking at are 20V, X1, LSV and VRide. The basic options that I'm looking for (I'm probably missing something) are: boat cover, fiberglass swim deck, tower and board racks (don't really need a stereo or ballast system yet).

I tested the LSV yesterday and it was pretty nice, but I would like to factor in resale in to the total "value" that I'll be getting. I was supposed to take the 20V out today, but the weather wasn't cooperating.

I'm open to used boats, but I'm a bit weary of running into maintenance issues.

What do you think I should do? Buy used? Buy new? Wait until the boat show? I've been lurking and reading some of the +'s and -'s of the different manufacturers and since I am not an owner I don't have any ownership goggles one way or the other yet.
