I'd go crunch, same company as hifonics and mb quart. Power acoustic might be ok to, used them a long time ago. (Message edited by 05mobiuslsv on March 26, 2008)

I'd go with Volfenhag just because it sounds German and the Germans make some awesome knives and cars! Also sound Storm sounds cool too like a super hero amp or something.

All are cheap crap. They will work but you may have some serious noise pick up through them....

I'm in the same boat as you Chris...I cann't really justify spending a ton of money on a amp when I can spend $100 on one of those. Yea, they won't sound has good as a $600 dollar amp but it will be loud enough and it will work. Just like I cann't justify buying a real expensive boat when I can get the same amount of enjoyment out of one thats $40,000 less. Ok, I'll be honest now......my soon to be wife will kick my butt if I spend to much money on wakeboarding!haha So seriously which brand? I found a boss on ebay with a 350RMS x2?

Check out the Cadence amps. I am running the ZRS series and was referred to them by Wetsounds. I was able to get them all at a great price.

Cadence amps are good for the price I'm using Pioneer amps in my car and boat and haven't had a single problem with them at all and I paid between $80 and $100 a piece for them

Of the bunch I would go with Crunch. Mostly because I am a big Hifonics fan and have used a few Crucnh amps on some low-end installs and no one ever knew the difference.

I've got a nice Kenwood Excelon KAC-X301 amp that I'll sell you for $90 shipped. 75x2 @ 4-ohms, will run about 40-watts to each of four speakers at 2 ohms. In very good condition, works perfectly, has really large cooling fan which works well for marine audio. It's WAY better than all options above. I'm not using it, send me a PM if you want it.

I've got most of my system off craigslist all matching fosgate stuff from different people. just be patient, and you will find nice stuff. You will pay a fraction of the cost and you will get a far superior product compared to the options listed above.

I posted in the last post when you asked about lanzar about hifonics. The hifonics make my wetsounds pound. I recommend them. Cheap powerful good stuff.

I never understood the amp craze and how some people pay so much money for nice amps. I have heard cheap amps and expensive amps and they both did the job.

Actually Profile amps are good budget amps. I've run an ap600, ap1040 and an ap1200 and they all put out good power and didnt get hot. Im running two fosgate amps along with an ap1040 (my second one) now and have had no problems.

I would go with all Memphis right now.. I built my boat system this season with all Memphis Audio after seeing someone with all Memphis launch a boat without plugs, walked away for 30 minutes, and the boat sank... They used air tanks to float it back to the surface, turned on the stereo, and the stereo system worked perfect.. I was impressed... Thanks, Ken Land Bullet Lines www.bulletlines.com

I have a Profile AP1040 4 channel amp (80X4) and I am quite happy with it. I think they quit making that model, but it is still available online. Hope this helps, Jman
