I actually was in need of a battery this weekend and ended up with a yellow top from Costco... $183.....OUCH.... I just wanted a Costco marine, but they were out....so the Yellow Top was my next choice....

Had them in my last boat and had good luck with them. Just dont remember which ones I had, not to mention at the price I'm getting them at I'm sure I probably cant find better for less.

Sam,
Could you elaborate on some other choices and cost? I am in the market and would like to know what is actually better.

D31M has more power (i.e. cranking amps and reserve capacity) than the D34M

evilOne,
I have a buddy who works for a large company that builds trucks. The company made a deal to start using optimas, and as employees they are allowed to purchase two batteries a year at this price. $65.00 ea.

I'll take 2.

The d31 is also larger and heavier than the d34, I run 8 of the d34's in my boat and so far they have been sufficient for my needs.
