The swim platform on our 04 Launch is really loose. The previous owner (or Skiers choice) put a foam tape in the bracket but we've had to take the platform on and off to fit the boat in our garage and the tape all came off. Now when we are sitting idle, even small ripples will shake the platform like crazy.
Any ideas how to fix?

any way to wedge a piece of plastic or wood into the bracket to keep from rattling? Might have to engineer something so that it won't come out too though.
Take pic of the bracket, someone here should be able to help or figure something out.

I have a 2004 SSV that does the same thing, although not to the point where I've thought there was something wrong with it. I guess because the platform is usually 4-6 inches underwater most of the time it really hasn't been an issue

In comparison to the '96 Nautique that I had before my Supra, yes, the platform has quite a bit of play with it. However, the platform on the Nautique was one ROYAL pain in the butt to get on and off. I guess I would prefer a little play in the platform in exchange for the ease of removing it.

I think I may try the foam tape idea though. Sounds like it would do the trick, even if I do have to replace it from time to time.

Our old prostar had some play in the brackets. Taped the "hard" side of some some marine velcro strips in there to tighten gap. The stuff stayed on fairly well when taking platform on and off.
