Helllooo wakeboarders...
So Liquid Force told me if I put:
Hyperlites System Bindings
on a
2012/13 Liquid Force Peak...
It may Break my wakeboard.
I've seen another person with the same set up riding...
Also some other shop told me it would be ok.
Just wondering your thoughts on this.
Thanks tonsss for your input...it's needed

if they are both 6inch inserts then I can't see what the problem would be. Maybe use LF screws in case threads are very different.

I have a buddy who rides his 2013 System Pro Bindings on his new 2013 LF BOB Board and has had no problems. I think the key is using the proper M6 hardware (which should come with the System Bindings). Sounds like LF maybe just trying to get you to buy some extra bindings too.....lol.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. They are just trying to get you to buy LF stuff. That or they are admitting that their boards aren't as strong. Plus isn't that a flex board? I would hope it could handle a pair of bindings.

Manufacturers want you to buy their product. It may not be that they implied the bindings WILL break the board, could they have meant that IF the bindings break the board, your warranty is void? I could definitely see that. Not saying it doesn't suck, but if you owned LF would you honor warranty on a brand new board that was broken when paired with your competitors bindings? I honestly probably wouldn't because now I'm backing and warranting another manufacturers product that was strapped to my board.
This sucks for even me. I've ridden LF boards since I was 13 (I'm almost 28), but I've never found a pair of LF bindings I remotely liked or fit right. Right now I have Ronix ones on my shane hybrid so I take the risk because it's what's comfortable. Just do the same and if you break something, don't tell them you rode it with systems. Not saying lie, just saying be vague lol.

All the more reason to buy Hyperlite. While I was waiting on my system pros and AJ's to get here my rep told me I could use whatever binding I wanted as long as I use the proper hardware and it WOULD NOT void the warranty.

I do believe that all the companies have a clause stating that insert/board breakage around the inserts issues are not covered under warranty if other mfg bindings are paired up with the board. And yes they can tell because there will be a faded area around the binding plate when it is removed

They aren't owned by the same company. They're owned by the same person, along with almost every other company in the industry. So no, they aren't contributing to a greater good, they still have control over their own company

Joe Jones, I agree. I love my Humanoid Oracle. Small companies are the way to go. Next board I will get is the Slingshot recoil for the 3 stage flex. I have also started building my own boards.

If you put non hyperlight bindings on a nova core board it voids the warranty.
