Lots of people rip in their 40s, but I've never seen anyone in their 60s doing inverts on a wakeboard, which can be pretty hard on the knees and back. Even if I stay in good shape, can anyone recommend an age that I should stop flipping?

Your body will let you know, providing you listen to it, lol. At 32 I wouldnt worry about it for a while.

if you are already flipping remember banana george was 67 and still doing dock starts barefooting.i'd say that might be a little rough on the body too.once you learn it as long as your body holds up you will be fine.

I'm also 32 and what I've learnt is to take a progressive approach to your season. Start off slow and build strength and flexibility. Get good at the things you know you can do safely and get better at them. Poke 'em out, shifties... Once your water skills feel in tune and that you can take a good crash and it feels like you are breaking the water and not the opposite (lol), start going upside down.
The easiest/safest reverts are the TS backroll and then the HS backroll.

Very good friend of mine that got me doing inverts 5 years ago (now 30) is in his mid 40's and has a hand full of inverts and crazy trick ski esque spins. Not to mention he is also 6'5''.

I will be 49 this year and a few solid inverts. I feel that LEARNING an invert at 60 may be rough on your body. But if you have been doing them consistantly for several years, no big deal.
