So I went out to apache lake az this weekend and its an unpaved road. Its gets kinda rough in a couple places but has alot of the chatter bumps (I hate those things!)

Well when I got home last night I found that the boat had shifted back about 3 inches, the front part of the trailer where the winch thing is had slide back 3 inches. The winch thing is held by 2 u type bolts.

Is there anything I can do to make sure that doesnt happen again? Is that somewhat common? I wasnt driving crazy.

Always use the two rear straps. Use a chain in the front with a twist type screw tensioner. Replace that winch and it's stand with something bolted solid.
