I am looking at a red and black boat where the deck and interior gel color is red. Typical white/off-white seating. What color LED's would you go with?

speaking of LED's....I ordered underwater-transom LEDS for my new Malibu that'll be ready in April.

Anyone know if you can put a colored film/gel over an LED to make it give off a certain color?

I just bought a Street Glow under car kit for the Family pontoon boat. The interior sections of the pontoon boat are long and straight so Im not sure if the Street glow under car kits would work good for wake boats because they are much shorter and have a bit more curve to the interior.

Anyways, The kits are cheep. Under $200. The kit come with 4 Multi color R,G,B LED tubes it comes with 2 30 inch tubes and 2 48inch tubes, a control to switch between ton's of color options and even a unit that changes the lights to the beat of the music. Ill take some pictures when i hook it up next week. Just thought it was a good cheep option for the people that boats the kits will fit in.

Mark, LED's are not full spectrum lights like a normal bulb. That means that they don't work very well through colored film. You could try some films with the white ones but you might find it makes the output more dark than colored.

What about a black light option. Doesn't give much illumination but looks phat IMO.

I'd like to see some black light pics myself, considering my boat has a purple stripe I think thats the way I'm going to go.
