Sorry if I am a few steps behind on this, but I am looking for some feedback on advantages and disadvantages of going with a grind base. I am coming off an old 2003 Premier, so anything will seem lighter and have more pop. I rode last years witness and really liked it. I would be riding 80% boat & 20% cable.

I had a witness grind for a bit... and thought it was a little slippery. I like a loose board, but I felt like I was going to slip out every once in a while... then again I wasn't riding cable at all. If you want to grip the water a little better, get the non-grind base. But if you don't mind it a bit looser, get the grind base.
