Building a Slider

whats up guys.. my friends and I want to build a slider and was wondering if you could give us some help... any suggestions would be awsome... we wanna make it about a foot and half off the water and just straight cause none of us have done rails.. ideas for the floatation, piping, or shape would be great thanx
