i just got 2 diamond audio 12's with a diamond audio 700 watt amp. I have only heard of their components, but are thir subs any good? I was given these for free so i was wondering if they are decent enough to keep or if i was better off trading them in. Thanks for the help.

Which diamonds, D3, M6?
Diamond subs are really good in cars, their lower end subs are about the best bang for your buck you can get, and their top of the line TDX go head to head with JL's W7s
I can't think of a 700watt Diamond amp though, theirs are 300,600 and 1200.

They are D3 and I just looked the amp up and you are correct it is the 600. They are in a ported box and I am going to have to build a custom box to fit under the instrument panal. They are going in a Mastercraft x30. I still am debating if I should take the subs and build the box and have a virtually free system or if its better to upgrade to something else. So i need some advice on these subs. thanks in advance

I would stick with the subs, to upgrade to anything better you will have to spend $250 or more per sub. Unless you can find a killer deal on JL, Alumapro or better Diamonds I would just use those since they are free. If you do end up not liking them or blowing them, buy something then, hey they're free!
