The Pro Shop in Longview Washington just sent me this pick of their new Sanger 237 that they installed a Samson tower on. Personally I think this is what Sanger should put on all there boat if they fit. They also told me that they are installing a bag under the floor on each side to have hidden ballast. He said the bags run from the transom to the windshield and add 400-500 pounds each. They are doing some cool stuff there.
That's a freakin' beautiful boat. And tower. And combo. Samson make really nice, clean towers, looks like thats a new version of the Razor? I like it. I'm sure somebody will comment on how similar it looks to the old Xstar tower, though.
I think they took the look of the Mastercraft tower and made it better. I don't know this from experience, but I have heard it is sturdier and folds down easier. The tower is called the Switchblade.
Yeah if you check out their website you can see the tower folded all the way down below the tower. The silver on it is metal flake too which is a nice touch. I told him the only thing I would change is a black tower and he said they could powder coat it no sweat.
