I am going to be spending two weeks in the south of France and plan to be doing plenty of wakeboarding.

I have been given the opportunity to borrow a Monte Carloe Offshore 30’ twin inboard engine boat, which I’m told has a max of 40 knotts…. Would I be stupid to think I could wakeboard of the back of the boat?

My alternative is to hire a boat locally, which would be very expensive, but likely a ski boat or similar.

Has anyone any experience with this kind of boat, or a boat of similar power? Would it give off too much wash and do you think it would handle OK at lower speeds?

Here is a link to a similar boat:

Many thanks

Thats def different looking, you might get a better wake by using 1 engine instead of 2..

I wakeboarded behind a Sea Ray 380 that has an overall length of 42' and a 13' beam. Twin 496HOs. To say the least it pulled me straight up and out. The width of the wake was incredibly wide and and steep. It was an awesome experence to say the least. It made the wakes from my Prostar seem pretty insignificant.

I bet it will work fine for you. It mights suck gas but if the boat is free, who cares? It says it's 30' long with an 8' beam. Those are the same dimensions as the Centurion Tsunami.

The only thing is that the twin props might make more wash on the wakes but I'd give it a try anyway.
