Has anyone surfed behind a Supreme v232 or v230??? I'm in the market for a new inboard and this ones at the top of my list. Is the stock rear ballast 600# enough, for beginners? Or am I gonna have to add sacks?

I don't know if you will need sacs to get going, but I would highly recommend them... it's more difficult to learn on a small wave, and it's more fun to ride a bigger wave!

I would recommend getting a 500-700lb sack and throwing it on top of the stock 300lb tank to start with. Then work your way up from there depending on how much weight you like and where you want it. The $500 (assuming you buy 3 sacks and a pump) you'll spend on sacks will be entirely worth it.

Oh, and remember to properly break in that engine before you start throwing weight in it!!! I believe Supreme uses Merc, and you will notice a performance difference down the road if you break in your engine well (my engine gained 35hp, 7mph in the top end, and can pop out of the hole to 22mph with 2500lbs in 3-4 seconds).

The stock ballast will be fine. I surfed behind a 230 all summer.
