I think I already know the answer but wanted others opinions. When towing doubles are both ropes supposed to be the same length and why? I usually have them even length but a friend was told by a ranger that they need to be different lengths or he could be cited. Please express your thoughts.

Thanks

Interesting a ranger told you that? The guy on the shortline could get clothes lined by the other. Although he does have the advantage of spraying the other rider.

It would make no sense that they could't be the same length because tubers don't get cited for having two tubes being towed at the same length. When i pull double I have the ropes at the same length.

You should have it two different lengths and the rider doing the majority of the tricks over the other rider should be 5' back. Keeps the look of riding same length but allows room to bail if the rider messes up.

i always pull tubes at the same length since they can't control their movements. I always pull double boarders at different lengths so they can ride under the rope, jump the rope, etc. If they are just going to carve on their respective sides, it doesn't matter either way.

When we ride doubles, we do it for the reason Max said, and beacuse we can't jump over each other.

Will the tower hold both riders or do you put one on the bar by the engine? Always been curious about how much weight you can tow from the tower before you crack the fiber glass???

stagger the lengths, this allows them to pass each other.

And if you run two boarders and a tuber, pull the tube from the ski pylon and the boards from the tower.

you should be fine nathan just check your mounts and bolts routinely to make sure they stay snug. As long as the tower was properly installed you should have more of a prob w the boat getting on plane or the rope breaking before the tower

Wasn't there a picture of Shaun Murray doing a tantrum over someone at his camp. That was cool.
