Might be picking one up. What can I expect in terms of issues, maintenance...wakeboarding and surfing performance? :-)

Depends on how well the boat was taken care of. I have had 2 VLX's and they both were great boats. Great Wakeboard wake with stock ballast and Wedge. Has a little lip and gives you good pop. Has a good Wakesurf wake with some weight. Easily ride without handle with only about an extra 100 lbs. Never put any more weight in it than that. You will love it.

Thanks man...good input...anyone else? Anyone whose owned a 2003 vlx have any insights to likely issues on that boat? In terms of what I should look for...issues that you've experienced...expectations for maintenance?
