I'm in the process of putting a titan series one on $1200 shipped. It's custom made to your dimensions. Wakeside.com

Bob, we just put a Monster on our boat and are very happy with it. It was 1175 w/ free shipping im pretty sure. Also pretty to install. 2700 is rediculous though.

They're not cheap by any means, but TIG welding aluminum is labor intensive.

Yeah, i was gonna go with regular 2" steel tubing and just mig weld it myself. I got that kind of equipment in my garage as i've been building Harleys the past 7 or 8 years.. Should be good enough if i just seal it and coat it properly.. i think... or i hope...

A home brew tower will likely reduce the value of a boat while a name-brand tower will increase the value of the boat.

Plus, there is the engineering, parts, labor, warranty, liability, and oops factor...

Go with Monster or Titan. Monster's value is pretty tough to beat.

Like GD said go with Monster or Titan. I had a Monster on My last boat and was very happy with it. I also think Monster is a great example of how customer service should be.

If you build it out of steel tubing its going to be HEAVY I hope you never have to take it off the boat. mine is heavy enough as it is an its 6061 T6 BUT... I have to take mine off the boat often as I dont have storage tall enough.
Good Luck
