If you're in Surrey just hit up the Fraser River. We ride there all the time - there is a launch in Ft Langley (sketchy at low tide), a launch under the Patullo, and a launch at the barnston island ferry (private now, costs $300 a year for a gate key). Almost always find good water there. Either that or we hit up alloette.

ya ive rode by barnston and there is to many things in the water like logs and stuff and its super dirty
Old     (stuey)      Join Date: Dec 2004       06-10-2006, 12:08 PM Reply
Lol... a few logs, but its not hard to avoid them! So what if its dirty??? It's a river with industry on both sides and tugs going up and down. I don't expect it to be clean. All I care about is open water, glass, and no lame wallies tubing in front of me. I wouldn't let it stop me from riding. The fraser is one of the best places to ride!

Frazer always looked good to me, good to hear someone's enjoying it.I won't mention the name of our lake close to Pemberton to preserve the glass

We're 5min away from Okanagan so we spend most of our time there. Sometimes head to Kalamalka or Wood. Love it here

Hey boarders,
From North Surrey, like to ride Alloutte and our place on Skaha Lake Penticton. Have a 2005 Centurion Avalanche always looking for drivers and someone that can back the trailer in tight spot.

Like I said, I'm riding out of Lions Bay Marina. Anyone in the area looking for a pull? I have Mondays off and would like to get some riders out.

I am going to be at a conference in July up at the Fairmount in Downtown Vancouver. Is there any where close to ride?
Old    tribal            06-18-2006, 8:56 AM Reply
Ladythump We sometimes launch from Porteau Cove and ride on the north side of Gambier Island. The waters warmer there and always glass. Are you wearing drysuits now?
I doubt I could make it for a pull in Lion's Bay with the family now and all but maybe we could hook up sometime this summer up at Gambier.

Yup, bet your butt I'm wearing dry suits now!! We launch out of Lions Bay and ride at Gambier. Bright yellow Supra, hope to see you out there some time!

Cool, well we're still wearing drysuits too around the lakes of Pemberton this year! We'd usually be in at least a shorty by now.....
We have a big red I/O with a Monster Tower. It would be cool to hook up with some other riders there this summer.Have you had lunch at the New Brighton General store yet?
How's the driftwood situation in the water there now?
Old     (ladythump)      Join Date: Jul 2004       06-19-2006, 9:39 AM Reply
Hmmm... I work at Whistler also. WOndering if we should tow to Pemberton and try the water up there. We took the motorcycles out for a ride up there and the weather was nice and warm!!! Haven't tried the General Store yet. Where is that?
The driftwood didn't seem too crazy. Nothing more than riding in the rivers back home.
Old    tribal            06-19-2006, 10:02 AM Reply
Well if you work in Whis as well then it's definatly worth the tow up here. The lake we ride at is in the desert with typical summer temps of 35-40C [somewhere over 100F]Water temps late July through September are in the high 70's.Always room for another crew of riders [boat chop is a distant memory in this lake]
Let me know when you're thinking of coming and we'll hookup.
The General Store's on the west side of Gambier, maybe a 10 min boat from were you ride.Good eats.

Hey Flower. I work in downtown Vancouver, and we ride out in Ladner in the Deas Slough. Let me know when you're out here, and if the weather is nice maybe we can go for a ride.

Sweet water Sean!

Lucky Charms. Thank you. I will email you. I am there July 13, 14 and 15. I am there for work, but maybe if the timing works I can be a third for you. (or you can show me where to go in the evenings in downtown)

Flower - sounds good. Are you going to have a car? If not, you may have to catch the bus out to where we ride, but it's pretty simple and I can give you directions. We ride mostly in the evenings after work.

Summer Sessions wakeboard school.. ya I take lessons with them. I went out with the guys last year as well. The guys who run it are awesome. Ivan, Wade, James, all super cool guys who can rip it at the same time. James is one of the best young wakeskaters in Canada, just sick. They have definately helped my riding as well.. when I learn something from them I'm learning the right way, right body position, handle position, etc. Plus you get to ride behind a sick 06 Malibu with loads of ballast, can't go wrong.
