I twisted my knee pretty bad about 3 weeks ago and after resting it I rode Saturday. Well, it popped out again so I have realized that I'm pretty much done wakeboarding for this season. I see my orthopedic doc again in a week to find out the damage.
Ok, my question is to anyone with knee injuries. Have you tried wake skating or surfing with a landlock board and how was it on your knees? It's cool to drive my boat and pull everyone else but I would like to have some way to get out and ride a little. I was really wanting to try a land lock board cause that looks like it would be pretty mellow and pretty fun.
Thanks

I've heard of many people getting knee injuries from wakeskating so I'd be pretty cautious about that. But surfing on the other hand seems to be about as low impact as it gets. Part of it is that you're only going 10mph and not catching any air.

Bill-Yeah that was kind of my thinking. It would be something different too.

Definitely try the landlock!!!

My wakeskating falls hurt more than my wakeboarding falls lately... and I'm not getting any air on the wakeskate. But that is probably just me, I have a world record in falling the most. I am really sorry to hear about your injury! I hope you have a speedy recovery.

P.S. I think it's the boat! Go out and get an X2, and you're sure to hurt yourself riding behind it!!!
