put more weight in the front of the boat on the surf side. That should help.

I had a 650 fly high and a 280 in the bow I think. I posted pics in a thread called lake chelan pics or something. Look at them, theres a lot of white water. The weight in the front helped but its still there.

try turning away from the surfer... opposite of what you would normally do. i know it sounds weird but i swear it works. if you have a left foot forward rider turn right, and turn left for a goofy surfer. it'll make the wall a little steeper and push that rooster tail away from your feet. it's different, but really works well.

nope it's a little easier to stay surfing... the steeper wall makes faster surfing. once you try it you'll see.

With an x-star if you put all of your weight on one side it makes a bad surf shape that will have a rooster and is soft feeling. With an x-star you need to sink not only the surf side but also the whole boat. Deeper boat equals bigger wake. Try distributing out your wieght while still putting the majority on the surf side. With the goof side I found that I can not load it down as much as i can on the regular side to get a clean wave FYI...

If it is the goofy side or drivers side of the boat that you are having problems with getting a rooster tail you need to get take some weight out of the back and move it forward.

Yeah I called my guy at a local shop and he said to really distribute the weight evenly on that side, not just the back.
