No cleaning for 2 years? It makes me wonder if you remember to wipe after taking a cr*p! or maybe you only do that once a week or so :-)

Miss ya dudes!

What is Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? My interior could use some cleaning. Thanks

The Magic Eraser is just a high density foam sponge. You can get them at any grocery store and they clean vinyl like no other product I've used before. Beware they become addictive and before you know it you'll be using them on anything and everything.

this thread is worthless without pics. I want to stare in amazement at the beautiful interior shine.

I bought a 2'x4' sheet of melamine foam for $50 and at this rate it will last me and my friends 3-4 years. It is exactly the same as Magic Erasers.

Paul,
It doesn't have the blue backing material though, correct? Not that it matters...

They work great. I use them all the time for cleaning the vinyl. Just note that they are slightly abrasive and that is how they work basically, so I would be carefull on things with a clearcoat or paint finish.

they arent for auto paint or anything else like that

but Ian, note i meant "deep" cleaning, we do live in a desert and it does become dusty

by the way, my wake is bigger then yours

Bocephus, no it doesn't have the blue backing. It is a 1" thick sheet that cuts very easily into pads. The approx. 2"x3-1/2" that they are sold as seems the most practical and easy to use. I just cut up about a dozen at a time.

We just tried that on this last boat trip, and it works great!

Paul - Where can I get a sheet of melamine foam for a good price?

Be careful when using our friend Mr. Clean. I have white interior, went to clean off a stain and ended up spending my entire Sunday cleaning the every inch of the interior. Looks amazing, but damn that was a lot of work.

Matt, Your best bet is to try the Yellow Pages or do an internet search. You will find that it is commonly used for sound or noise control. I found this place in an industrial area in Phoenix that sold packaging materials. They asked what thickness I wanted, then told me that they'd have it ready in a couple of days. I don't know if they ordered it or what. But it is the exact same stuff- very generic stuff.

I blow through a Magic Eraser just about everytime I take the boat out. It makes my white interior look new. I cleaned all my seats exept one and you could really tell the difference. Plus it works great for cleaning the walls in my house that my three kids destroy with the dirty hands.

I just used the Magic Eraser for the first time!
Can you tell which half I used It on?
I just used a little 303 cleaner and just a little rub with the eraser and wow did the grime come off! The eraser took off what brushes, towels and 303 could not. Upload

Another testimonial: they work! I thought my boat was clean until I started using them. They do require a little elbow grease, but well worth it, IMO.
