The weather at norris that time of year will probly be in the 70s somewhere. The water temp will probly be a little cold but bearable. Norris isnt that crowded unless its a holiday weekend and doesnt get too busy until memorial weekend. If you want the lake to yourself the best times to ride are in the early morning and sometimes right before sunset.

Geoffrey
I'm a Texas guy, but spent a week up there this past July
from my brief experience, there is always a nice place to ride

summer traffic was never a factor for us
so.....I would imagine that the time of year you are going.....you might feel like you have the lake to yourself!
temps......have no idea, but compared to Texas.....you're gunna be cold!

I would bet that your biggest concern is gunna be water levels
it was low in July
saw pics during the fall and the water levels were alarmingly low

I'm sure someone from the area will respond this weekend
good luck
.........my kids want me to buy a house up there
it is gorgeous!

Our lakes have really been in bad shape this year, we have not had any rain to keep them up. I ride Cherokee Lake and it is near Norris on the east end of the lake where Clinch River runs into Norris. Like Kevin said the water will still be a little cool, but with a good sunny day and maybe a heater top or spring suit you should be comfortable. That time of year you will not have to worry about anything but fishermen, who own the lake by-the-way.

The water temp on Cherokee today was 57 and the air was 48 and we had a light rain about all day. I have to say it was a great day.

April and May (sometimes June) the biggest thing to worry about is logs and trash.
Depending on how the water comes up this winter/spring sometimes it can be bad. Bring an extra prop and impeller.

The weather can be crappy at that time of year.
