My family has a Maristar 230 and the only weight is the people on board. When I cut into the wake now it feels like I go through it. Is there anyway to make the wake harder besides adding weight, and if I add weight where should I begin to add.

more weight = firm wake. You could go faster, but your wake would get smaller.

put the first 500-1000 in the back/midship then add from there.

how fast are you going? The slower you go the softer the wake. With no ballast the only thing you can really do is speed up.

yep, bump the speed up a little or add some weight to the boat. The 230 has a pretty nice wake and a great surf wake with a little ballast.

How fast are you riding?

I am riding at 21-22mph at 65 feet. I had plans to add weight this summer. Should I speed up a bit 23-24??

21-22 with no ballast at 65' should be fine. you dont need to ride faster speeds until the boat has extra weight. Next time you're out maybe have 2 people sit in the bow and see if it does anything
