my buddy bought a hyperlite sub 6 and was generous enough to let me ride it. Well actually his back was hurt so he told me to ride it and tell him what I thought. The first thing I asked him was if this board was actually durable enough to take the pounding because it is so freaking light.

Well I rode it, and I loved it. I told him that and he got out there and rode really casual as to be easy on his back. Well a couple of weeks later , after his back healed, he told me that he snapped the board. So here is my question.

Has anyone else snapped this board? If not, I would love to hear the reviews you have for this board.

Thanks

i would call hyperlite.. if you rode a board twice and it breaks.. especially a $800 board.. before posting and wondering if anyone else has done it.. the first thing i would've done is called hyperlite.

Take it back to your local dealer and they can warranty it. Hyperlite wont deal with the public directly.

there was an issue with the earlier made sub 6's but it has been fixed. they will warranty the board they have a lifetime warranty. The newer molded sub 6's will not break.

I think I am sending the wrong message. The store he bought the board from took it back immediately, and he ended up getting a different Hyperlite board.

My question was about the durability considering how light it was. It sounds like from Steeze's comment that they had issues with it but have corrected it.

Thanks a bunch guys.
