question about fuel tv?

just got direct tv but so far for the last three days fuel tv has not been on. is it a pay channel or is it just on some of the times? i can't find anywhere on the menu that shows what will be coming on either. can someone help educate me on when and how to find and watch fuel. thanks in advance and gthlsu.

I'm pretty sure it is standard. I don't know if this will help you out but fuel is on channel 618 (at least at my house). You also may want to call direct tv.

thanks moon, my directory that came withthe unit showed it on channel 612. 618 is correct.

I think it should be channel 618 for most area of the US.

It is 618. It used to be 612 but it got changed a while ago.

Anybody ever wonder why it's Fuel HD? Mine looks good but it's not quite as good as my other HD channels. Also, it does not fill the whole screen like my other HD channels. Is it HD or not?

its because not all of their shows are shot in hd.

For me all of the shows have always been like that. Thats why I am wondering if it is actually HD. I am thinking somethings jacked up with my channel or does everyone see it like I do.

I know the difference between HD and non-HD and understand that just b/c it's an HD channel dosen't mean it will always have HD programming .

What I have with Fuel looks kinda of like 1/2 HD, if there is such a thing.
