well for those of you who told me so.... i guess it really doesn't matter if you wear two braces or not. if you're knee is gonna go, then it's gonna go.....
i rode in the Mid Summer Classic two weeks ago in Beaumont, TX and had a bad landing on a krypt way out into the flats. i think i landed a little stiff legged though and wound up tearing my ACL and meniscus in my right knee this time. its kinda funny because three years prior, i tore everything in my left knee doing a raley in a contest. maybe i should stop doing contests? or raley based tricks? i dunno, what do you guys think? haha
fact of the matter is, the left knee brace was a post-op brace the doctor ordered after surgery three years ago, and the right one was just for preventative reasons i ordered this past winter. i'm about to have surgery number two and this time i am seriously going to try and stay in shape and work out as a second hobby while i am wakeboarding. that's the only thing that i left out of the equation while depending on the two knee braces. but honestly, especially after talking to my doctor... i think working out and staying in good physical condition is way more important than riding with preventative equipment on. i learned that the hard way.... TWICE
see y'all next season, i'm out.
