What are some good ride spots at Lake Shasta?

Pit arm all the way up by the no ski signs.

Sac arm Obrien inlet.

Little Backbone.

I've always wanted to go up the Sqaw arm and check it out, just haven't had the chance yet.

Squaw be the best. Pit has too many submerged trees.

Pit arm is my fav.

Trees could be a problem in the late summer if you get too close to shore.

If your willing to take a windy drive to the boat launch the upper McCloud arm is awesome. Launch out of Hirz Bay and there usually is no one there.

I've stayed in Hirz Bay - they've also got a group camp that can hold 50 + heads & 20 boats for around 80 a night - we had killer water that trip. Ride all the way back & then jump off the bridge depending on the water level - good times!

In my opinion all the upper arms have great riding, just depends where your launching out of so you dont spend so much on time/gas getting there.
