This got started on another thread, but its very interesting who buys where and why.

Online or your local boardshop. Do you look and touch at the shop then go home and order online? Or do you spend your money at the local shop??

No names needed but feel free to name away your favorite retailer

I feel you should stick with who treats you good local or otherwise...

I always try to get it from a local pro shop. The people are very helpful and you get to see and try out what you're buying.

FYI: The local's don't like it when you test the flex of the rockers by bouncing on them

If we don't support the local shops they'll all eventually disappear. We'll be left only to guess on sizing and products over the internet. Don't get me wrong, I love the ease of internet shopping, but I also love hanging with my buddies down at the local shop, sifting through all the new hardware.

I've never really thought that bouncing up and down on a board that's upside down was doing anything other than testing the integrity of the board. It really serves little purpose as it's a very different stress than riding will create. I'm actually pretty amazed that more boards don't fail when subjected to that punishment. It does kinda show the stiffness of a board, but I doubt that we have our legs "tuned" well enough to feel the difference from one to the next.

All kidding aside Evan, I'd buy at the local shop, but they sell boats... Couple 100 bucks here and there dosen't make a difference, plus the spread dosen't appeal to me...

Now if the local skate/snow shop picked up a couple lines I'd have to buy local to support my peeps...
