I just tlaked to a person at hyperlite and found out some new info.... hyperlite is changing A LOT this year..... Every 2005 Hyperlite binding is goin to change... there changing all the styles, materials and other stuff. Some of the names wont change though. There are only a few Hyperlite boards staying the same which are the Byerly, Premier, Temet and maybe the Era (but the era is probably goin bye bye too). They are changing all the shapes for the rest of the board including, YES, the Parks. Also changing the TFD and like I said the ERa could change too. Also look forward for some all new performance boards that are sick as hell! Back to bindings, The new materials they use are suppost to blow the rest of the competition out of the water and put Hyperlite more ahead of the rest... like seriosuly, 2005 for Hyperlite is going to raise the bar for all wake companies from now on..... If you want to get a look at a new binding, Theres is a picture that should not have been released on page 32 of Alliance Wakeboard Mag... its a magazine add with danny hard demoing one of the new bindigs... The guy at hyperlite said he didnt know anybody had one of those pictures and he said it sounded to him liek the new temet from what I said cuz he didnt have the magazine ot look at.... so thats all teh news I got.. later, Chris

who's danny hard? i don't mean to rip on hyperlite...they make good products, but the new design that will put them ahead of the rest, is it anything like the bottle opener divots in the byerly?

Some of the new models are out already. Check out our photo gallery from the Irvine Tour Stop later this week or early next week. The Era is definitely a redesign because I've seen one, but I couldn't take pics of it. Shaun Murray said that the Temet name is dead and all of his pro model stuff will be called Murray this year, but that was a few months ago, so it may have changed. That pic you're talking about is a shot of Harf with one Byerly on his left foot and something new on his right. It's got the Boa system on the top of the foot, but you can't see much more than that.

Crap, I'm in the market for new bindings. So does anyone know when the new ones come out? I guess I can find out at the shop but still, if the Byerly's are changing I want to know! The board on the other hand is a different story. If they replaced it with a worn out 2X4 I think it may ride better than the current shape

i called them bottle openers bcuz to me, the older byerlys rode so much better, and that the indents did nothing but speed it up a bit. not much, a bit...not sumthing an everyday rider would feel. u cant type which leads me to belive ur dumb.

I noticed that misprint in the new Alliance. I thought that was funny. The picture does actually look a little bit like Danny Hampson to me. I've seen the new Era. I will say that Joe will rip on that thing harder than he ever did the Byerly.

He's trying to start a new trend. I can see it now: Parks will wear two different bindings then about 5 million of his followers will start doing it too. People will even come up with how it makes them ride better.

Hey well see.... CWB is just guna copy again and make the CWB lovers think its theirs! Like the Transcend, now CWB lovers tell me this, Which hyperlite board does that look like.... o wait a minute, its only a replacation of the parks.... so they will probably do the same thing with bindings and the rest of the boards..... actualy u know wut might happen, all the boards that HL drops this year CWB will pick up...lol... but wither way both companies are good strong companies and are competing for teh best... seems like Hyperlite is pullin away...lol

is that tru? hyperlite and badass molds... one of my boys has a badass 135 I think and it is one of favorite boards I have ever ridden. so fun. I ride a byerly(01) and I would say the badass is great. The new byerly...."board that doubles as a bottle opener....priceless" yea it does suck! I'm sorry to all the peeps who think that innovations like that really work but to me the board felt real slow. the center spine is too exagerated and I really had to push this board around the lake. The pop even feels less aggressive than the older boards. In my opinion the 03 byerly's were the epitome of his shapes. I bet mitchell would buy a snowboard with brakes if they ever came out with one.

Hey guys....I'm just gonna throw this one out, but Harf has a bad right ankle. He used to claim the only binding that gave him enough support was the highback (that was last year). I'm kinda curious if that binding is a one off to make it so he can ride. If you look at the upper portion of the binding it looks like a hinged support. Other than that, it pretty much looks like a late term abortion. I'm excited for the '05's to come out too. I can't wait to see what the next era is all about. Stoked to hear about some new bindings, too. Hopefully they'll actually make something that lasts more than a few weeks. I'm such a board whore, I just can wait to get something new. Those '04's are just so.....'04. HE, HE.

Hey guys, I heard from my dealer that Hyperlite is taking all manufacturing to China. Maybe this is the reason for all the changes? They probably have to create new molds for a new plant anyway, right? I don't know anything about this, just wondering if anyone else does.

That CWB copying line was great!! Haha, that is one of the funniest things I've ever heard! CWB is one of few companies that every year updates it's proven boards. The Absolute has been great every year it's been produced & they just keep making it better. As for their bindings being a copy, I can see where the Boss looks kinda like the Parks, but all you have to do is hop in them & realize that they are better. The Transcend is way more forgiving than the Parks and has far better landings. I like!

Hey Stephen are you a CWB rep or something. Do you remember when they pretty much used the same style of graphics as Liquid Force, but that is besides the point. Who cares who copies who. You ride what you like and that is the way it is. Hey R.J. does Wakesports have the new Byerly's or the new Era's. I know the new Byerly's are out. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax.

The board is all white on top and has a cool Byerly logo (I think it is cool) and on the bottom it has a clock with this crazy demented face below it. Probably going to have look at it like one of those 3D posters in order to get the meaning. That is the bottom of the 137. I heard all of the boards in the series have white top sheets. Super clean looking.

I cant believe nobody dragged liquid force into the mix, and if Hyperlite can top LF's bindings, I salute hyperlite because I am a hyperlite boy and they are BEHIND the game right now. I ride 3060s and byerlys for bindings and they SUCK compared to the Alphas that I rode the other day, and the alphas can be had for 200 at wakeside or buywake... i forget which store, 200! for new bindings thats unreal. I also rode the nemesis 131... coming from riding a 140 for the past 3 years that board rides huge and lands soft and pops easy, a little to grippy for me with the center fins but hey whatever. People need to pull their heads out of their @sses and look at other companies because I think Hype gets too hyped and my next setup will most likely be LF or CWB unless Hype can BLOW my mind... if they dont blow everyone elses first... LF boards and bindings are where its at... and I can't wait for that sht to go on closeout IF theres any of it left at stores because those are the most comfortable supportive, easy in, easy out(when I want) bindings on the market, period -Duane (poor college student)
