Does anyone have the inside scoop for the release date of the CWB Fraction binding? By the sizing, I'm assuming the fit will be similar to the Zeus...which is about the only binding my heel didn't lift in and was still comfortable over the top of my foot. I want to get bindings ASAP, but wouldn't mind saving $70 (it's been a rough year) if the Fraction are a close fit to the Zeus.

They get released to shops in June, so I would say the shops should have them in by the 15th. They are a close fit but not as stiff around the ankle as the Zeus.

Thanks for the tip. If they're not as stiff, I'll probably just pull the trigger on the Zeus bindings.

So you've tried them? I think I'll be happier with the extra support. Has anyone ever come out of these bindings. It seems as though the heel is really locked-in on these.

Only a couple of guys in California have ridden the Factions. I come out of my Zeus sometimes. They do have a crazy heel hold. I modified mine. I dumped the inner wrap that goes over the top of the foot. This let my foot slide further forward and relieved the pressure. I also loosened the cables which took some of the pressure off of the heel. The heel is locked in, but that's a good thing.

I wouldn't mind a little less pressure on the heel...these do seem to have a lot, but it seems better than having my foot moving around. The Torq's felt better on the heel, but if they break in at all, and I'm sure they will, I probably wouldn't have any pressure over the top of my foot - I had the laces tightened all the way. My foot is a 8.5 WIDE.

You can Adj the tension on the heel with just a turn on the cable where it connects to the footbed. One turn makes a hudge difference, just do both sides the same.

hahaha It's not even like that. J-rod let me ride the Marius for a few months and the board was given to me finless. Eric from Ski World hook me up on some fins for the deck. At CIE SR I thought I gave J the deck and fins back, but the weekend is a blur to me, so maybe I forgot to give the fins to him. Damn CIE SR was the shiat!

Hey...what happened to my discussion? Actually, I think I have all the info I need. Looks like I'll go with the Zeus bindings. Thanks for all the input! I don't know if I'm crazy, since I've only been riding half a season, but I'm thinking of going with the 2005 LF Fish too. $240 new...seems like a good deal - or possibly the CWB Flame. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Steve ~ Sorry for the hi-jack. I have both decks and either one would be a good buy. Not everyone likes the fish, but everyone likes the 06 Flame/04 Absolute.

Sounds like a lot of people like the Marius a lot - lands soft I hear. It's a bit of a haul to my local CWB dealer that has demos (1 1/2 hours round trip...without traffic). Makes it difficult, but worth another trip for the bindings. The LF and HL dealers seem to be everywhere.

Just an FYI. I emailed CWB with a question about their bindings and they got back to me in under three hours...not too bad. I recently emailed a question to a company on my LCD TV - took them just under three weeks. It's nice to see a company with customer service these days.

Just one hi-jack question. I had the 2006 CWB Zeus in size L, but they were really to tight for my feet. I also dumped the inner ankle wrap and took them with cans in warm water for hours. They were still to tight. I just sold them and now I'm thinking about getting the faction. But I'm not sure if I should get a XL now. I still ride the second pair of 2004 Zeus in L and rode the 2003 Zeus in L and loved both. To me it seems like CWB has gone down in size. Just to provide, I'm in Germany and it won't be to easy to find a shop where I can try the faction within in the next three monts.
