Holy Crap Dude. That sucks, hopefully you have good insurance. Take the passenger seat, that would make a great deck addition. Seriously though, sorry to see that, looked like it was a great boat

I think it wasn't too long ago a certain Malibu owner would have told you to sue Supra for not making a flash flood resistant boat. Your pics make my stomach turn - I can only imagine how you feel. Sorry to see that happen. I don't think it's a warranty issue, but that's exactly why you should have insurance. I hope you get a replacement quickly!

I don't know... that transom looks like a stress failure from impropper gel coat curring and possible chop gun application.

The boat was sitting in a lift 8 foot off the water. I would have never thought that would not be enough, but I guess I should have not underestimated the power of nature. I had just paid the thing off a few months back. The good news is I have ordered a brand new one and it will be here the week of the 12th. Can't wait!!!

I am still trying to imagine how much water that was. It ripped that boat to pieces. Hard to tell but it seems like most of the damage was done in one location after traveling 8 miles? The steering wheel in the tree is kinda freaky.

That river is know for being brutal to baots. When i picked my SANTE up from the dealer he has a boat that was at most one or two years old there on a trailer. It looked really nice, just a little dirty in spots. As it turns out McQueeny had flooded and it was under water in the lift. The insurance co. totaled it, and the owner got a new nautique. I was at the marina at Lake Canyon a few months ago, and the resturant had a photo album of when it flooded ther, and the wter was up to the roof line. I can't imagine that much water there, but it happened. As we speek, Houston is getting puonded by rain that is not supposed to stop till tuesday.

That's tough man, I'd at least get a laugh picturing it going over the 80 foot dam. Cue circus music & watch it bail itself off! Bansai!!!! haha

882001, tell us how? or what you see, He said his boat was paid off. So were you thinking he wanted a new boat and figured if he let his boat go on a Magical Voyage down river just when a FLASH FLUD happend to be comming the insurance compnay would pay off his old boat and he could use the money for a new boat? If he could predict a flash flud then mabey he deserves the Insurance money. And if thats the case "Jase" let me know when the next EARTHQUAKE is comming to the Bay Aera so I can get insurance.

Why don't you just come out and say whatever is on your mind instead of playing games?

882001: DID YOU READ WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BOAT 1) How do you know the stereo is out, and even if it is, why wouldn't it be, the entire interior is gone. 2) It was on a lift, why would it be strapped down, and regardless, a boat going over a dam would rip the straps holding it to a trailer anyway. 3) It was a on a lift, why wouldn't he take the plug out? Seriously, what's on your mind, jealousy issues or something?

Im still guessing. 882001 you said the plug was out. Jace is this true? And 882001 when you said the stereo was out and the straps were off was that a guess or do you know somthing we dont. Im not trying to stir the pot, I re-read the post and I didnt see any thing that looked like it had holes in it becides the boat "No pun" intended. But mabey your friends with Jase and you know somthing we all dont in that case never mind, Foo-Get-aaabout-it.

The truth is that the water was rising and a friend called me in Houston and told me about it. When he got to my house the boat was pinned against the top of the boat house and and the only thing holding the boat was the boat cover straps. The boat did not have a plug in it because I didn't want to stress the cables on the boat lift if the boat filled up with rain water. Unfortionatly the river filled the boat with water when it came up 15 ft above the banks and washed the boat out of the lift and broke the cover straps. Three of my friends tried to save the boat with a rope tied to the tower, but the boat was to full of water and the rope broke. I also heard that another tied the boat up a few miles down river and it once again broke the rope. When I came to New Braunfels a few days later we spent all day Saturday looking for the boat and finally found it about 3/4 mile down stream from the damn.
