Anyone ever use one?? What's it cost??

Am considering purchasing a boat that is far away, that means road trip to drag it back or consider one of these transport services. Any info or opinions are greatly appreciated.

I bought a boat from Central Valley in San Jose area and had it transported to Illinois near Chicago for $800 plus $55 fuel surcharge. Acme boat transport. I don't have the info here at work but if you are interested I can post it when I get home. If you wait until their load is full the price isn't too bad. It must be loaded with a hoist though. I bought a new Sanger V210 and Sanger loaded it for me. (KAL Custom) Central Valley's service center burned down and they were unable to load it. I believe Sanger uses the same transport company for their dealer deliveries as well. If you need more info let me know.

Thanks Scott. Trying to get a nice SAN this winter, but pickins are slim and we figure we might have to either road trip or have the boat transported. Transport costs will have to be figured in with the purchase price. Hopefully we find one close enough that we can just go get it.

I understand...I am a tried and true Sanger fan but not many of them make it to the Midwest. That's why I had to get one out west and have it transported.

You are better off if you can find one locally. It took me almost an entire day to clean up mine after it arrived. No damage just really dirty.

Have you tried Central Valley Marine? I beleive they are a SAN (Nautique)Dealer.

Danny was the manager and he arranged my transportation etc.

I bought over the phone. He sent many hi quality photo's from every angle. CVM took good care of me.

They seem to have a good inventory as well...Not selling just trying to help!

I have a contact who hauled my boat from Dallas to the Bay Area. Did a great job - lots of communication - $.90 a mile. Let me know and I'll pass his name on to you. Good luck.
