Boss recommends 110-250 watts per speaker. So, they'd probably sound best at about 180watts each.

The Phoenix Gold Tantrum 500.2 would be your best bet. I have powered the B-530 all day long with a 500.2 amp and have had no problems. The speakers are wired in 2 ohm, so just use the 2 channels.
I got my 500.2 from http://www.onlinecarstereo.com for $309 with FREE SHIPPING!

awesome amp for the bling bling!

S Dub,
I have a Zapco AG1000 hooked up to mine. They rock with this amp. It a bit pricy but worth it.

The PG amp puts out 250 watts x 2. Great for the 530

S Dub,

The 500.2 puts out 120 watts per side at 4 ohms. If you want more power you can use the 600.4 bridged to two channels and get 300 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Another option is the Kicker KX800.4 bridged to give you 400 watts per side into 4 ohm.

You can check these out on our site for more info. Wakeside already offers the best tower speakers available and we have added amps, subs, heads, and we are in the process of adding in component speakers.

Within a week or so we will have most everything you need on our site. We can also take care of the professional mobile installation in California. Our professional installer has over 13 years experience. We can also help with design services if you want it.

Wakeside.com is now a factory authorized internet dealer for Phoenix Gold, MB Quart, and many other high end mobile audio brands. You can learn more about this from our press releases that will be released shortly.

The 530 are @ 2 ohms. The PG 500.2 is 250 watts per channel @ 2 ohms = happy 530s

With a PG 500.2, each speaker array in the 530 is recieiving 125 watts per channel (4 X 125=500). I would go much higher than 125 watts if possible. MB Quart is not very efficient and they will take on a decent amount of power. Run 200 or so to them (800 watt 2 channel amp) and reduce the gain just a little. This way you can drive the speakers to their fullest without stressing your amp or clipping your amp and blowing your speakers.

Easier to fry a speaker when underpowering then when over powering. I hit my towers with 300 watts per channel from McIntosh amps which are underrated as far as power is concerned.

if you sould all know.. boss 530's are wired 2ohms, jeff is on top

Actually, they are wired as two full range speaker arrays in parallel. In parallel, each of the four 4 ohm speaker arrays are driven at 125 watts or the rated 4 ohm power with a PG amp. The amp, however, sees a load of 2 ohm.
