i do take in a tiny ( and i do mean tiny ) bit of water at the neck after some serious faceplants. but i dont roll my neck as charles suggested (will try- thanks for the tip).

havent tried the bare, but do own the usia(similar design all latex seals).

i think the big difference one will see is in comfort/construction of the neck seal and the suspenders (these are the major differences in the suits)

the bare has a latex neck seal and the boost has a neoprene neck seal and the suspenders. the latex neck is very binding and tight( i have a 16" neck) and very hard to get in and out. the neoprene is more comfortable and easier to get in/out of (my opinion) and the suspenders are really comfortable and keep the of the suit from bagging.

though the bare may keep you a tiny bit dryer around the neck-the boost is more comfortable and easier to get into (as with life there is a tradeoff with everything)

dont think you can go wrong with either. both are very high quality and will make wakeboarding during the winter enjoyable.
