Ever hear of Canyon Lake, CA near Temecula? It's a private lake in a gated community and I'm renting out a 3 bed 2 bath house with it's own dock. The lake has a slolum course and ski jump and is famous for being glassy. Would you prefer to rent it unfurnished without a boat for a minimum of 6 mos. - or furnished and with a boat on a weekly basis? Lake water temp is low 80's in summer and low 50's in winter. Air temp is mid 100's in summer and high 70's in winter. There's also a golf course, tennis, equestrian center, community pool and bar/grill. And a bunch of trails just outside the gates for dirt bikes and quads. Just trying to figure out if there's a market for this kind of rental. Your opinion matters. This link shows what a Google seach comes up with for Canyon Lake, so you can check it out if you want: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=canyon+lake
and this link is from mapquest: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&countryid=US&addtohistory=&sear chtab=address&searchtype=address&address=&city=&st ate=&zipcode=92587&search=++Search++
The photo below is a general view of the lake, much like the view from the house for rent.

In the august issue of the alliance mag on page 74 you can see Melissa M. in the back waters of canyon lake.People are way cool and are quick to welcome you. Holiday weekends are crazy. If you go to the back waters MAKE SURE you ask how it works before just taking off.I think you wiil have no problem renting that out. how much?

looks like it could be a good investment cause its on a private lake and has lots of things to do. I would furnish it though but getting a boat is up to you cause some people might already have a boat and just looking for a place to vacation. You could always buy a Kayak or jet ski. how much would you rent it for a week or weekend?
