I'm soon to change my boat for something a little newer. I currently have a '90 Mastercraft loaded with ballast, tower, Perfect Pass etc but the boat is just too small for my needs. I've seen a Sport nautique dating around '97 or '98. I would need to add a tower, ballast etc but given the size of this boat (approx 22ft) does it make a reasonable wakeboard boat.
Ideally I would like to go for a V drive, unfortunately good ones in my price bracket are few and far between.

Thanks for the help.

same hull as 210, so same wake as 210 with a floor full of sacks. the only down fall is the sloped back water runs right over it, but no big deal, awsome boat.

I don't believe the Sport and Super Sport / Super Air hulls are the same.

My friend just picked up a 95 Sport Nautique and the wake is great. I was under the impression that it was the same hull as the 210 Air Nautique. I haven't ridden behind the boat sacked out yet, but the shape and size of the wake unweighted is very nice.

They're all the same hull under the water line. The sport will throw a great wake the only problem is you need to find a place to put the weight.

I own a '95 Sport Nautique and love it. Just upgraded the prop and love it even more. Typically, I throw a 600lb sack on each side of the motor and 400lb in the ski locker and the wake is really nice. With the new prop I think the boat will handle quite a bit more weight. I have owned the boat since 2000 and have yet to have any major mechanical issues (knock on wood). The boat now has 1220 hrs on it. Good luck with your purchase.

The '97 is the last year of that hull design, and is the same as a Super Sport as there was no "Air" yet invented. The hull is also one of the best ever designed for wakeboarding according to many and will produce a HUGE wake. You can not go wrong with a Sport Nautique.

I have 97 Super Sport with a 600# locker sack and two 400# in back and the wake is perfect!

Quick question, what is the length of the Sport Nautique with and without swim platform?
