Ok guys I'v got $30k to spend give me some input on what I should get and why. Currently looking at a 2002 Cent Elite V at $24K. Just not sure.

Put that 30K on a Sanger. You get what is in my opinion a better boat, and a MUCH MUCH better wake. I have a lot of trouble riding behind Centurions.

thats a good thought but theres only 1 problem there none on the east coast not to mention near virginia. I dont mind traveling to get the right boat but not all the way across the country.

Than you would be better off getting a Supra. There should be some of them out there. IMO Sangers and Supra's are great boats for the $.

try a used X1 or an older x2 same hull. One of the best wakes ever. Not to pricey since MC dropped the price on the newer ones. They start at 40k new. Probably pick up a used one for less than 30k. I have one and love it.

True dat. Norcal MasterCraft recently sold a 2005 x2, NEW, for 38,000. That's not far off.

Ive got 30k thats the max. I have been looking theres just not much for sale in this area that and I'm a little picky but thats my hard earned cash. Let me know if you guys have seen any good deals around Virginia.

Seriously look at the Mastercraft they are talking about. It started out as the 205v and has had the name X-star, X-2 & now X-1. All the same boat. Just look for the 21ft V-drive Mastercraft without Pickleforks. The boat is great. You can also get a used Super Air Nautique that will throw an incredible wake. It can be done for $30k.

i bought a boat 2 months ago, the key is, don't be loyal to any brand, just look for when one of those crazy sweet deals comes along and pounce on it. With 30k something will come up that will knock your socks off.

If you could hold off until say November December you'll get way more boat for your money.

Hold off till then winter when people start trading their older boats for newer models. We landed 01 Super Air for right about 33 grand. But we bought it in August we then saw the same model with similar options and hours for like 28. Patience pays off

You can find a nice boat you just have to look around. I just bought a 04 Sanger V-230 for 30.5K. Has everything except perfect pass, super clean with <200 hours.

It was an '01. I don't know at this point what exactly I will get. I am leaning towards an x7, but if I can find a good 205, I might go that route. I am looking for more of a crossover boat, but I am not manufacturer specific.

Hey Jeff,

I know of an '01 Super Air with low hours that will be just at the 30,500 range that is about to come up for sale. The owner is a Nautique guy through and through so i know the boat is in killer shape. He said he wasn't going to sell till the end of the year but if I knew someone who might buy... he'd consider.

Its blue, i don't have pics, but PM me if you are really interested and i'll find out.

I don't have pics of the boat, he's not really "down" with selling it yet but told me if I had someone interested at that price he'd consider letting it go early. I'll email him and see what's up.

You might want to also consider a used Centurion Avalache. I looked at the new ones the other day and I was really impressed.
