New Video Edit

So I've done virtually zero since that contest, just kinda took a break, but I did get some filming done. Anyways, I just put together the 2010 video of one of our local riders, Joel Wagner. He was on amateur hour earlier this year and everyone felt the need to slam him claiming he was styleless... Not sure what they were talking about, but without further ado, here's the video. What do you guys think?

cool but i don't get the relevance/significance of the jeep in the end.

the jeep is a metaphor for the hard road it takes to make it as an amateur wakeboarder outside of Florida...lol

Oh... the jeep is just a shot of him leaving the docks where the Wake'N'Skate boat is after filming one morning. Just kinda thought it would be w good closer, with him driving away, to say "he's leaving, end of video." I suppose your question means that A) I need to think about what closing shots mean better, and B) Make sure that there is relevance to the rest of the video...

Joe, after looking at it a few more times, I actually agree. At the time I had spent hours on it and couldn't come up with b-roll or any of his other mobes (apparently I didn't get footy of his dum dum, moby dick or crow mobe...) to put in that closing section of the song and just kind of threw that ending together. The shots are way too long and do seem out of place. I never woulda thought about that had you not said something, so in all seriousness, thanks! I'll try and pay more attention to the closing next time.

Those vibes seem to have a real problem with fins stripping out. He did that to 3 different fins, no rails. Somehow he even delammed a vibe. He also broke a marek on a dum dum fall.
