I bought my first inboard late this summer. I love everything about the boat but the looks. Any suggestions on what I can do to improve the appearance? My budget is somewhat limited, most of my money is going toward ballast and stereo this winter. What can I do for under $1000?

looks good but you might want to replace that dented fender.

Can't see the fender when the boat is in the water.

Where can I get one? All my searches to far have ended up empty.

new mastercraft decals would be sweet, don't know where to get them but someone on here def. does...or a fullwrap if they make them for older boats, and i don't know how much those are, my guess is around $2000...Maristars are cool boats though, congrats.

That's a nice looking boat. I dont think you need to do anything to it, maybe remove the Maristar sticker on the side. I guess you could put some updated MC X-10 decals on it. That's about all you're gonna be able to do for a grand though

Bigger ballast! Nothing like a good looking wake!

I'd definitely remove the Maristar decals.

If you want a cheap ballast system talk to duffy from this thread. All you would have to do is buy bags and install.

I second getting rid of the mari star decal and maybe even the mastercraft one toward the stern, tint the windows and you're set, i think the single axle trailer takes away from the overall style but it'll look great in the water even if you left it as is.

Maybe get a custom sticker mfg. to make you a cool design for the sides like the mastercraft x logo, or just primer the whole thing black and go murdered out
Boating is less about looks and more about fun had with friends and family on the water, you can be in an aluminum fishing boat with good company or an xstar with some douches and I'd take the fishing boat any day...

Take the stickers off and put a bimini on.

Your boat looks good the way it is. Classic Mastercraft.

I had planned on removing the stickers and replacing it with something newer. What do you think about these?

Or are you guys suggesting removing them and putting nothing back? The blue is a little faded, anyone know if gel coat can be buffed to bring out the original color?

As far as ballast goes, I think I've got that under control. Here is my plans for the winter as far as sac location. I've still got to work out the plumbing, I'm open to suggestions on this.

Thanks

That sounds like a great ballast setup! I know the old MC's love the up-front weight.
