Hit something in the delta last weekend and slightly bent the tips of all 4 prop blades so I guess its time for a new one. I am going to add the fly high setup so I figure Ill be running about 2000lbs of ballast. What Acme prop would you recommend?

Acme 1479 is my recommendation after testing several props.

We offer the 14.75 X 15.5 - 14.25 X 14.5 or 14.25 X 14. These props tested best at the MC factory under various ballast loads.

^^^^^ How do you know which ones suit your needs the best? I have just put a fly high kit in my boat and will eventually upgrade the prop and am curious how I would decide which one out of the 3 I should use.

I have a 2006 X-2 w/MCX and typically run with quite a few people in the boat, often times with the Fly-High kit full. I contacted Eric @ OJ and he recommended the 14.75 x 15.5 XMP Edge. After about 30 hours with the new prop I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this upgrade! The boat pulls much harder out of the hole and through mid range. The boat only lost about 1mph top end. Contact Eric @ ejojprop@aol.com he is great to work with.

What size is the stock prop on the 08-09 X2?

With the MCX it would have been our 14.25 X 14.5.

You shouldn't need a new prop if you only slightly bent the blades, unless you really want a new one. I had mine fixed for $75 including shipping back from a shop in Minneapolis. My suggestion is to get the bent one fixed as a spare if you get a new one.

Jason, yeah Im gonna get the bent one fixed and have it for a spare. I figured since Im adding the fly high kit to the boat I would need a little extra holeshot power so it was just dumb luck timing I bent the stock one. Ordered the new prop yesterday.
